Great Atmosphere at the Opening Ceremonies
The Opening Ceremonies of the Delfin Basket Tournament 2008 will be held at the Pyynikki Arena on Thursday July 31, 2008. We guarantee that on Thursday evening the Pyynikki Arena will be filled with basketball fans, and the atmosphere is definitely something worth experiencing.
Latest Hits at the Tournament Disco
On Saturday evening, the young athletes head to Tammela school for a night of fun and friends from all around the world. The hottest dj in the city will play the latest summer hits at the 2008 tournament disco. The youngest age groups (those born in 1997 and later) will have their own tournament disco at Pellervo school.
Coaches’ social event
While the players enjoy themselves at the tournament disco, the coaches can get together at the Tammela soccer stadium. There coaches can enjoy delicious food and beverages, meet other coaches, share experiences and knowledge – and just have fun!
Future Stars at the Finals
The finals will kick off on Sunday morning at three different schools. The tops of each age group meet at the finals, and these are the events you don’t want to miss! Come and cheer your favorite team to the victory!
The Särkänniemi Amusement Park
The Särkänniemi Amusement Park is a Must for everyone visiting Tampere! There is plenty to see for everyone at Särkänniemi. When you need a break from the rides, you can visit the Planetarium or the Sea World, or admire Tampere from the heights by climbing (or by taking the elevator) to the Tower Näsinneula. With a Delfin Basket Tournamet passport you can by discounted Adventure Key* on tournament price. The discount price is valid only during the tournament and only if the tickets are purchased from the tournament office.
