Changes in Mini97 boys shedule!
There has been one change made in Mini97 boys schedule. On Sunday Aug 3, 2008 in Pellervo school at 11am there will be game between B4 and A5. NOT A5 and B4 as it was announced earlier.

In case of any changes in the schedules the tournament office will be in touch with the teams concerned by email or by phone. Also information about any changes in the schedule will be in the tournament office.
The tournament office opens it’s door in Sampola on Monday!
Delfin Basket tournament office will open it’s doors and be ready to serve all the tournament guests from Monday Jul 28, 2008 in Sampola school (address: Sammonkatu 2). The tournament office is located on second floor.

Two U16 national games in Delfin Basket Tournament
In connection with Delfin Basket Tournament there will be two U16 national games.
On Thursday at 5:00 pm there will be a U16 girls national game between Finland and Israel (free entrance). The second game will be U16 boys game between Finland and Estonia. The game starts at 8:15 pm in Pyynikki Arena.
There will be the opening ceremonies of the Delfin Basket Tournament on Thursday evening before the game (8:00pm) and the entrance will be only with the tournament passport.
The enrolment for Delfin Basket 2008 has ended!
The enrolment for Delfin Basket Tournament 2008 has ended. This year there will be 253 teams participating in the tournament!
One of the tournament’s advantages is no doubt the internationality: this year there will be tournament guessts from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Taiwan, Iceland and Russia.
Note! The tournament passports need to be paid by July 18, 2008.
Ladies FUN-league fully booked!
The exceptionally fast enrollment for this year’s tournament filled the ladies FUN-league already before the end of May. This year 32 teams made their way into the tournament. The last team enrolled is coming from Serbia and will bring a unique touch to our tournament.
Unfortunately we can’t garantee any new placements for teams in ladies FUN- league but you can inquire a position on a waitinglist for your team at our tournament office (toimisto@delfinbasket.com).
Over 200 teams enrolled to Delfin Basket 2008!
This summer has been busy as well as the enrollment for Delfin Basket Tournament 208. At the moment there are already 208 teams enrolled from seven differend countries. This year foreign guests will arrive at least from Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Serbia.
Like last year the highly popular ladies FUN- league had to been closed before June for it was fully booked. At the moment there will be 32 teams participating and we’ll accept inquirements to have your team on a waitinglist in case there are any cancellations.
So far the biggest leagues are girls B93 and boys born 1990 and later for there are more than 20 teams in each league. There are also 14 teams enrolled in girls Mini-97 league so far which is remarkably a lot.
There is still time to enroll untill July 11, 2008 so you have still enough time to enroll your own team in our traditional tournament!
Changes in the MiniDelfin arrangements
The biggest change in this year’s tournament will be in the MiniDelfin which will be played from Friday 1st of August till Sunday 3rd of August. This year also the youngest tournament guests will play and will be accomodated in the schools in Tampere center and this way they will also properly enjoy the unforgettable tournament atmosphere.
The games and accomodation of MiniDelfin are centered in the schools of Pellervo, Kissanmaa and Classical high school which are situated near by the Sampola school in which also some of the Minidelfin games are played. Also the dining has been arranged in Tammela and Sampola schools in the center of Tampere.
The games and the accommodation in the center facilitate it better to visit the Särkänniemi amusement park. You can buy the discounted Adventure Key at the tournament office for a reduced tournament price à 29€.
We want to warmly welcome also the younger age groups into our tournament!
The enrollment for Delfin Basket 2008 is on record speed: over 100 teams enrolled already!
Since the beginning of April the enrollment for the summer 2008 Delfin Basket Tournament has started at high speed: by May 12, 2008 there are already 102 teams enrolled!
In the last year’s 20th anniversary tournament records were again broken, because an exceptional amount of 250 teams took part in it! At the moment it seems that this year we’ll again reach that 250 teams participating!
Delfin offers the teams also a possibility to camp before the tournament. In the early week the teams have an exellent opportunity to prepare for the tournament starting on Thursday and to practise teams tactics for the upcoming season.
Now it’s high time to act and enroll your team in this summer’s hottest basketball tournament. Don’t forget that the teams enrolled by May 30, 2008 will get a lower team fee (70 euros)!

The traditional Delfin Basket Tournament will be held in Tampere July 31.- Aug 3. 2008. The arrangements for the 21. tournament have already been started.
Delfin Basket Tournament has won a place in the hearts of Finish basketball fans. This shows in the amount of teams which participated in the last few years: over 200 teams per year! The teams don’t participate in the tournament for only to play tough, high level games but also to enjoy the fantastic tournament atmosphere and to attend the additional events which Tampere offers in the summer. The tournament offers a great possibility to test the teams’ fitness and to prepare for the upcoming season. Delfin is the meeting place for the whole international basketball family where you can meet basketball friends from allover the world and make new contacts.
One of the tournament’s advantages is no doubt the internationality: in 2007 there were tournament guessts from i.e. Israel, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Russia. The high level foreign teams absolutely raise the level of the games and even in the younger Mini- Delfin agegroups the players get to feel the international atmosphere.

We recommend that You enroll in good time in order to get the benefits for Your team: if you enroll by May 30th 2008 the team fee will be 70 euros where as for those enrolling after May 30th 2008 the fee will be 100 euros.
